Brazilian Youth Global Call for the Intercontinental Youth Camp

Global Friends!

It is with great enthusiasm that we send out the Global Call for the Intercontinental Youth Camp, to be held in Porto Alegre - state capital of Rio Grande do Sul - Southern State of Brasil during the Thematic Social Forum - Rio+20.

Brazilian youths call out to the youths of the world to come to a space that discusses world crisis since 2001. We call upon everyone to come to one global camp, where we will align political efforts, plan joint mobilization dates and prepare a common road-map and process of the people for the People's Summit - parallel to the UN Conference on Sustainable Develpment (Rio+20).

The official conference will be discussing a New Economy (no matter what color they give it) and Global Governance (no matter what fancy name they give it) in a moment of Economic and Governmental Crisis. We see the Earth Summit as much more than a Conference, it is a opportunity to have the voices of all the peoples of the world heard. The People's Summit, as the name proposes, is where we will discuss our future as civil society and as a human race. 

We call out to all those that can make it to come join forces and spread the word. We call out to all those who can't make it and ask your help to spread the call through all the global networks. 

It is a once in every 20 years opportunity and, different than other times, analyzing the global context, if we do this right - we might win.
