Celebrating 77 Years of the World Assembly of Youth

Today, we proudly celebrate the 77th Anniversary of the World Assembly of Youth (WAY) — 77 years of empowering young people, promoting youth participation, and building bridges of cooperation among young people across the world.

For more than seven decades, WAY has stood as a global platform for youth voices, reminding us that young people are not simply the leaders of tomorrow — they are leaders today.

This anniversary is an opportunity to honour the generations of young people and youth leaders who have contributed to the Assembly’s journey, while also looking forward with renewed commitment to creating a more inclusive, peaceful, sustainable, and equitable world.

As we celebrate 77 years, let us strengthen our efforts to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to participate, contribute, innovate, and shape the decisions that affect their future.
