Asamblea Mundial de la Juventud
Overview
La Asamblea Mundial de la Juventud (WAY) es el organismo coordinador internacional de los consejos juveniles nacionales y las organizaciones juveniles nacionales. Los miembros de pleno derecho de WAY son consejos juveniles nacionales. WAY cuenta con 140 organizaciones miembros de todos los continentes.

Fundada en 1949, WAY tiene estatus consultivo especial ante el Consejo Económico y Social de las Naciones Unidas (ECOSOC) y trabaja en estrecha cooperación con varias agencias de las Naciones Unidas, entre ellas: ONUSIDA, PNUMA, OIT, UNESCO, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNCTAD y OMS. .

WAY trabaja para la promoción de jóvenes y organizaciones juveniles en áreas programáticas tales como: educación, empleo, medio ambiente, derechos humanos, democracia, población, salud, drogas, paz, igualdad de género, desarrollo comunitario y capacitación en liderazgo.
Leadership
The leadership of the World Assembly of Youth (WAY) has evolved over the years but has always stayed true to its core mission: empowering young people to take an active role in shaping the world. Over past and present, WAY has been guided by youth leaders who are passionate about global cooperation and youth participation in policy. Today, the organization is led by Secretary-General Ediola Pashollari, who has played a key role in expanding WAY’s global presence and strengthening its impact. Mission
The World Assembly of Youth (WAY) empowers young people to lead change on global issues such as climate justice, mental health, education, and equality. Guided by its charter and global network of youth organizations, WAY promotes youth participation in advocating for key issues affecting young people today.
